Fort Myers, FL- FGCU (16-2, 4-0 ASUN) won their eighth game in a row, defeating UNA (6-9, 1-3 ASUN), 74-51, Thursday night from Alico Arena.

FGCU shot 47.5% (28/59) from the field, 36.0% (9/25) from beyond the arc, and outrebounded UNA 36-28. The Eagles dished out 17 assists, had 8 steals, and 6vblocks in the game. FGCU forced 17 UNA team turnovers, while having 12 team turnovers of their own.

Overview:

FGCU survived a UNA team that made the game much closer than the final score was. FGCU took a 29-28 lead into halftime, but outscored UNA 45-23 in the second half of tonight’s game. FGCU was led offensively by TK Morehouse, who scored a game high 14 points.

UNA was led offensively by Skyler Gill, who scored 13 points. Sophia Stiles (12 points), Uju Ezeudu (11 points), and Alyza Winston (10 points), also scored in double figures for FGCU. The Eagles were held to 9 three point field goals in the game, but in ASUN Conference play, you are gonna have tough games like tonight, and finding a way to victory is everything.
