Overview:

FGCU and UNA face off for the first time in ASUN Conference, and the Eagles have been rolling, winners of their past six games. FGCU’s 1,2 punch of TK Morehouse (15.7 ppg), and Alyza Winston (14.6 ppg) have been the dynamic duo, and the reason why FGCU is 13-2. The Eagles also have been getting outstanding play from Sha Carter (10.9 ppg), and these three players have been giving opposing defenses fits.

UNA is led offensively by Hina Suzuki, who is averaging 13.9 ppg. She earned ASUN Player of the Week, after her big week for the Lions. Skyler Gill was a player we highlighted as our ASUN Preseason Defensive Player of the Year in our Preseason awards, and she was voted ASUN Preseason Defensive Player of the Year by the conference, and is continuing her amazing play both offensively (11.9 ppg), and defensively. UNA also has Jade Moore averaging in double figures offensively (12.5 ppg), and both herself and Suzuki, provide a tough matchup for teams to guard in ASUN Conference play. The Lions wins have come against Christian Brothers, La Verne, Alabama A&M, Fisk, Arkansas State, and Bellarmine. Their setbacks have come against Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Ohio State, Chattanooga, Georgia State, Pittsburgh, and Lipscomb. Head Coach Missy Tibber is in her 10th season leading the Lions.
