Overview:
FGCU got back on track this weekend taking the series vs the Stags. The offense drove in 28 RBI’s, and almost swept the Stags, with a late 9th inning rally. Luis Rodriguez drove in 7 RBI’s this wekeend, and was the catalyst for the offense. The top of the order continues their onslaught consisting of timely hitting.
In game one of the series, Jason Woodward pitched a complete gem earning the win after only allowing 2 hits, while striking out 8 Stags through 7 innings. Mac Moise hit a 3 RBI double to blow the game wide open for the Eagles, increasing the lead to 7-0 in the bottom of the 6th inning. In game two of the series, the Stags increased their lead to 5 runs (7-1), before the Eagles rallied to get the game within one run in the bottom of the 9th. Alejandro Figueredo, Ian Farrow, and Luis Rodriguez each drove in 2 RBI’s to lead the Eagles offensively. In game three of the series, the Stags took a 4-2 lead after Marc Bergevin hit a grand slam, but the Eagles rallied to take the lead, and scored 10 runs between the 4th and 5th innings of the game. Luis Rodriguez drove in 5 RBI’s to lead the Eagles offensively, and the Eagles earned the series win.

FGCU (12-4) faces North Dakota State University (8-7) Wednesday night at 6:30 PM, from Swanson Stadium.
