Nashville, TN- FGCU (5-4, 0-2 ASUN) looks to rebound after a tough weekend, as they head to Tennessee, to face Lipscomb University (9-7, 4-2 ASUN) for back to back games starting Friday night.

Lipscomb is averaging 71.6 ppg, shoot 46% (403/870) from the field, and 37.7% (124/329) from beyond the arc. The Bisons average 32.8 team rebounds per game. Lipscomb dishes out 14.2 assists, 5.9 steals, and obtain 1.6 blocks per game. The Bisons average 12.0 team turnovers per game.
Overview:
FGCU returned this past weekend and struggled at home vs ASUN newcomer Bellarmine. The Eagles now have their hands full, with ASUN Preseason Player of the Year SO C Ahsan Asadullah (12.9 ppg), KJ Johnson (13.6 ppg), and newcomer Romeao Ferguson (12.9 ppg).
Lipscomb heads into year two of Head Coach Lennie Acuff, and in conference play, has split games with Liberty, and UNF, while winning both games vs Bellarmine. The key matchup in these two games will be defending Asadullah. We see the Eagles going with a combination of Eli Abaev and Dakota Rivers on Ahsan, since Justus Rainwater hasn’t been playing many minutes recently. Lipscomb has solid guard play once again, and behind both KJ and Romeao, is a solid guard in Greg Jones (10.9 ppg) who has burned the Eagles in the past.
