Fort Myers, FL- FGCU (4-13, 1-1 ASUN) won their first ASUN Conference game of the season vs Lipscomb University (6-9, 1-1 ASUN) 68-61 Saturday night at Alico Arena.
Overview:
FGCU began the game on a complete tear from 3 point land with “Savage” Sam Gagliardi hitting 3 3 pointers in 4 minutes and the Eagles at one point had a 17-2 lead over Lipscomb.
Sam Gagliardi led the Eagles in scoring and finished with 14 points and behind him were Caleb Catto (13 points) and Zach Scott (12 points off the bench). Lipscomb was led by Sophomore Center Ahsan Asadullah who finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Andrew Fleming had a great game too for the Bisons and finished with 18 points and shot 5/9 from behind the 3 point line.
Jalen Warren started once again for FGCU and finished with 8 pts, 6 assists, and 6 turnovers in the point guard role Coach Fly is using him in, in place of Zach Scott who is being used as a 6th man off the bench.
Statistics:
FGCU shot 54% from the field, from the 3 point line, and outrebounded the Bisons 36-31. The Eagles dished out 14 assists, and had 5 steals, and 3 blocks on the defensive side of the ball. Turnovers plagued FGCU again with the Eagles committing 20 team turnovers while forcing only 13 Bisons team turnovers.

FGCU travels to Jacksonville to face UNF (9-8, 2-0 ASUN) on Thursday night at 7 PM.
