Overview:
The Eagles and Dolphins square off in the first game in the ASUN Conference tournament Tuesday afternoon, and FGCU went 2-1 vs JU, in a three game series from 3/31-4/2 at Swanson Stadium. The Dolphins finished 17-13 in ASUN Conference play. Blake DeLamielleure led the Dolphins this season in batting average, hitting .305 overall.
Kris Armstrong led JU in home runs (22), and RBI’s (65). FR RHP Evan Chrest (7-2, 2.84 ERA) was the Dolphins best pitcher this season, and will be a problem for years to come, after a sensational freshman season. FGCU was led offensively in batting average by Edrick Felix, (.378), home runs (23), and tied with Joe Kinker in RBI’s (73). Everything comes down to this for FGCU, as the Eagles enter tournament play.
