The Eagles and Golden Panthers square off for the third and final time this season, Wednesday night in Miami. #24 FGCU is 2-0 this season vs FIU, with a 14-7 win on 2/28 from Swanson Stadium, and a 12-5 win on 3/22 from FIU Baseball Stadium. The Golden Panthers are currently on a three game losing streak, after being swept on the road by Louisiana Tech in C-USA play. FIU is led offensively by Alec Sanchez, who is hitting .355 with 9 home runs, and 22 RBI’s. Ryne Guida leads the Golden Panthers with 34 RBI’s this season.

#24 FGCU looks to get back on track, after a tough week, losing a mid week game vs FAU, and losing two of three games on the road vs Eastern Kentucky in ASUN Conference play. The Eagles offensively are one of the top teams in the country, and have hit 85 home runs, while driving in 348 RBI’s. The Eagles are led offensively by Edrick Felix, who is hitting .392, with 15 home runs, and 49 RBI’s. FGCU boasts four hitters with 45 or more RBI’s this season: Edrick Felix (49 RBI’s), Joe Kinker (48 RBI’s), Jacob Lojewski (46 RBI’s), and Alejandro Figueredo (45 RBI’s). The power is real with this team offensively, and the Eagles are due for a winning week, so expect FGCU to handle their business, completing a three game sweep of FIU.
