Overview:

#15 FGCU and FAU square off for the second time in a week, after Dylan Goldstein hit a walk off grand slam to defeat the Eagles last week from FAU Baseball Stadium. Since the game, the Owls took 2 of 3 games on the road against FIU. The Eagles swept Queens University on the road this past weekend and are riding high with a 10-2 record in ASUN Conference play.

FAU is led offensively by Nolan Schanuel, who is hitting .482 with 13 HR, and 40 RBI’s. Schanuel is on the mid-season watch list for the Golden Spikes award, for the nation’s top amateur player in the country. This Owls lineup is loaded offensively, with Dylan Goldstein (.341, 8 HR, 37 RBI’s), Jackson Ross (.336, 8 HR, 37 RBI’s), and Mitchell Hartigan (.277, 2 HR, 23 RBI’s).

#15 FGCU continues their outstanding season, outscoring the competition, at an incredible rate. The offense has hit 75 HR, and 310 RBI’s through 32 games, and just completely dominates the opposition. Alejandro Figueredo leads the Eagles offensively hitting .402, with 12 HR, and 40 RBI’s. Joe Kinker leads the Eagles in RBI’s with 45 and with the offensive identity that this team has had so far this season, they have four players with 40+ RBI’s. Jacob Lojewski leads the team with 13 home runs, and his timely hitting has been massive for the Eagles this season. Look for the Eagles to try to get one back vs the Owls, after the tough walk-off loss last week in Boca Raton.
