The Owls are members of Conference USA, and are led by Head Coach John McCormack, who is in his 15th year with thw program. Nolan Schanuel was picked to win C-USA Preseason Player of the Year, and also named to the Preseason All-Conference Team. FAU has a top 25 win over Miami, who was ranked 22nd when the two teams faced off on 2/28. Nolan Schanuel leads the team offensively, hitting .458 with 10 home runs, and 34 RBI’s.
#15 FGCU are winners of their past seven series, and took two of three games this past weekend vs Jacksonville University. The Eagles are led offensively by Alejandro Figueredo, who is batting .400 with 10 HR, and 34 RBI’s this season. Edrick Felix (11 HR, and 38 RBI’s) and Joe Kinker (10 HR, 38 RBI’s) have also provided pop all season for the Eagles, so it will be interesting seeing the X’s and O’s from Coach McCormack when it comes to certain pitching matchups throughout the mid week matchup. It should be another good one from FAU Baseball Stadium Tuesday night.
