Overview:

The Eagles came back with a vengeance Tuesday night vs Troy University. The Trojans had built a 5-2 lead, and it looked like the game could be getting away from the Eagles, but like all season long, FGCU chipped away at the lead. Stephen Wilmer hit a solo home run in the top of the 6th, to pull the Eagles within 2 runs (5-3), before Joe Kinker hit his 2nd home run of the game in the top of the 7th, and 47th (school record) of his FGCU career, which was the go ahead run, en route to a 10-5 comeback win vs a previously undefeated team, in Troy University. Freshman pitcher Chase Kriebel started the game, and in 3 innings pitched was pretty solid, before a tough 4th inning, where he walked the bases full, and was replaced by Max Rippl. Nick Love was electric, and struck out 3, while allowing only 4 hits in 3 innings pitched, earning the save. The Eagles look for the two game sweep of the Trojans, Wednesday night from Riddle-Pace Field.
