Overview:

#24 FGCU is fresh off taking two of three games from #16 FSU, and take on a red hot Troy team that is 11-0 overall. The Trojans have series sweeps over Evansville, Stony Brook, and USC Upstate. Head Coach Skylar Meade is in his second season managing the Trojans. Last season, Troy won 32 games, and reached the Sun Belt semifinals. William Sullivan leads the Trojans with a .450 batting average, and Shane Lewis leads the team offensively, with 8 home runs, and 26 RBI’s. Troy was picked to finished 8th overall, in the Sun Belt Conference preseason poll.

FGCU offensively is hitting the cover off the baseball, especially last weekend after scoring 29 runs in a three game series vs the Seminoles. Joe Kinker is leading the team with a .420 batting average, and 15 RBI’s. Edrick Felix is the team leader in home runs with 6 home runs, and has carried this team at times in his first season with the Eagles. This is a huge series for both the Trojans and Eagles, and we are looking forward to seeing how FGCU responds after an intense series in Tallahassee.
