Overview:
In the second game of the series, there were crooked numbers in multiple innings, and the teams combined for 21 runs. The long ball once again carried the Eagles, and FGCU received home runs from Edrick Felix (2), Joe Kinker (1), and Stephen Wilmer (1). The Noles haven’t seen an offense like the Eagles this season, and it was great to see this team respond in clutch situations on the road vs a top 25 team. There had been multiple lead changes all game, and the game came down to a Felix solo home run in the top of the 9th, before closer LJ McDonough earned the save in the bottom of that inning. The resilient Eagles were able to keep up with the Noles, earning the series win, and looking for the 3 game sweep in the final game of the series.

Overview:
The Noles were able to salvage the finale of this series, and both teams combined for 22 runs, in a series where multiple pitchers were used often in games, and the ball was carrying from Dick Howser Stadium. In this game, Harrison Povey hit a solo home run in the first, but #16 FSU responded with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. Brian Ellis responded with a three run shot that gave the Eagles back the lead (4-3) in the top of the 2nd inning. Once again, the Noles rallied and put up a crooked number with 6 runs in the bottom of the 2nd (10-4). Stephen Wilmer hit a 2 run home run, and Ellis added an RBI double (10-7), but that was the closest the Eagles would get in the game.
