Overview:

The Eagles and Hatters square off for the third time this season, and #1 seed FGCU is 2-0 overall in the matchups. Both teams faced off in back to back games, and the Eagles defeated the Hatters at home, 100-58, on 2/8, and 67-57 in Deland, on 2/11. #9 seed Stetson defeated #10 seed Jacksonville University, 60-53, Saturday afternoon from Alico Arena. Jaelyn Talley led the Hatters offensively, scoring 15 points in the game.

#9 seed Stetson is led offensively by FR G Jaelyn Talley, who is averaging 10.9 ppg. Khamya McNeal (10.8 ppg), and Jamiya Turner (10.7 ppg), also average in double figures offensively for Stetson. Head Coach Lynn Bria is in her 15th season in Deland. Jaelyn Talley was named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team, which is a great accomplishment, and we will see her grow into an outstanding guard under Head Coach Lynn Bria for years to come.

#1 seed FGCU is led offensively by ASUN Conference Player of the Year: TK Morehouse, who is averaging 16.3 ppg. Sha Carter (13.7 ppg) and Alyza Winston (13.1 ppg) also average in double figures, and have come through huge in key moments for this team all year round. Expect the Eagles to run their offense and score at will vs the Hatters. Stetson will be overmatched by the athleticism of this team once again, and FGCU will win big Sunday vs Stetson in the ASUN Conference Quarterfinals.
