Overview:

FGCU and KSU square off for the first time this season, and the Owls are riding high, winners of their past four games, and have started ASUN Conference play tied for 1st place with Liberty University at 6-1. Chris Youngblood leads the Owls offensively, averaging 14.3 ppg. Head Coach Amir Abduh-Rahim, is in his fourth season leading the Owls. KSU has wins this year vs Lagrange College, Brewton-Parker, Southeastern Louisiana, Appalachian State, Mercer, Charleston Southern, Georgia College, USC Upstate, UCA, EKU, Queens, Jacksonville, UNF, and Stetson this year. Their setbacks this season have come against Florida, Campbell, VCU, San Diego St, Indiana, UNF.

The Eagles continue to be led offensively by Isaiah Thompson, who is averaging 12.9 ppg. FGCU is going to have to put up some points to stay in the game with KSU this weekend, so Head Coach Pat Chambers is gonna want to see an offensive identity that has been missing these last few games in ASUN Conference play. The Owls and Eagles split the regular season series this past year, with both teams winning on their home courts. Beating KSU would bring the Eagles back in the hunt, and one game back on the Owls. Expect Head Coach Pat Chambers to have this team motivated and ready to play Saturday, vs a red hot KSU team.
