Overview:

Queens University and FGCU face off for the first time Thursday, from Curry Arena. Queens is in their first year of NCAA D-1 basketball, and is led offensively by Adia Brisker, who is averaging 11.8 ppg. Head Coach Jen Brown is in her third season, leading the Royals. The Royals wins have come against Pfeiffer University, South Carolina State University, Johnson & Wales University, Toccoa Falls College, USC Upstate, and UNF. Their setbacks have come against James Madison, UNC Asheville, Western Carolina, Washington, Gonzaga, Radford, Austin Peay, UNF, Jacksonville State, and Jacksonville. Queens previously played in the South Atlantic Conference, before transitioning into NCAA Division I.

FGCU heads into this game looking to win their tenth game in a row, and playing great team basketball as a whole. The Eagles are led offensively by both TK Morehouse (16.1 ppg), and Alyza Winston (14.3 ppg). The best duo in the ASUN Conference continues their strong play, and Queens will struggle trying to defend the pair. Sha Carter (10.8 ppg) also averages in double figures for FGCU, and her height and size gives the Eagles a strong front court player that can shoot the ball also from beyond the arc, when given the opportunity. Look for the Eagles to continue their outstanding play vs Queens University, Thursday night on the road.
