Overview:

The Eagles look to get back on track, as they face Bellarmine University, Saturday afternoon. Bellarmine is led offensively by Garrett Tipton, who is averaging 13.0 ppg. Head Coach Scott Davenport, has led the Knights program since 2005. Bellarmine’s wins have come against Louisville, Campbellsville-Harrodsburg, Alice Lloyd College, Washbash College, Murray State, UNA, and Jacksonville State. Their setbacks have come against Morehead State, Clemson, #8 Duke, Loyola Maramount, #19/#17 UCLA, #19/#18 Kentucky, Miami (OH), Evansville, Liberty, Queens College, and Stetson University.

FGCU is led off by Isaiah Thompson, who is averaging 13.7 ppg. Zach Anderson, missed the previous game vs EKU, and without his presence, this team did not have the offensively identity, we have been used to. Andre Weir, has carried this team in the post, with back to back double-doubles, and both Weir and Anderson, have been counted on this season as premiere post players for the Eagles. FGCU has struggled vs Bellarmine in the past, and the Eagles went 0-2 last season, with the Knights ending the Eagles season last year, in the ASUN Conference Quarterfinals. Look for the Eagles to try to have a better start, especially in the first ten minutes of the game, and put some of these lackluster road ASUN Conference games behind them.
