Overview:

FGCU and Mercer face off for the second time in eight days, Thursday night from Alico Arena. The Eagles defeated the Bears 91-81, on 12/21, from Hawkins Arena. FGCU was led offensively by TK Morehouse, who finished with 28 points. Alyza Winston, and Sha Carter also finished in double figures in scoring, scoring 23 points each. Jaron Dougherty scored a game high 32 points, and Amoria Neal-Tysor finished with 20 points for Mercer. The key to victory for FGCU is limiting Dougherty in the post, and making it difficult for Neal-Tysor to shoot the ball. Amoria at times wouldn’t miss, as Mercer kept the game much closer than the final score. FGCU finishes non-conference play tonight, and the Eagles look to win their fourth game in a row, before beginning ASUN Conference play vs Liberty on 1/2 at home.
