Overview:
The Eagles look to win their 3rd game in a row, as they face Ivy League member: Brown University. Monique LeBlanc, the Elizabeth F. Turner ’98 Coaching Chair for Women’s Basketball, enters her third season as the head coach of the Bears in 2022-23 after joining Brown in April 2020. The Bears are led offensively by Kyla Jones, who I’d averaging 16.2 ppg. Brown University’s wins this season have come against Wagner, Sacred Heart, UMASS Lowell, Monmouth, Central Connecticut State, Hartford, and Mitchell College. Their setbacks came against Fairfield, Duquesne, Holy Cross, and Providence. The Bears are members of the Ivy League.
FGCU closes out their non-conference schedule at home this week, and hopes to continue the same success into ASUN Conference play. TK Morehouse (15.0 ppg), and Alyza Winston (14.7 ppg), continue to lead the Eagles offensively, and the backcourt is in great hands with the best tandem in the ASUN Conference, as well as one of the best tandems in the nation. Sha Carter (11.0 ppg) has been a huge addition to this team, and is playing the best basketball of her collegiate career, at the highest level with the Eagles. Look for the Eagles to continue their winning ways at home Wednesday night from Alico Arena.
