FGCU returns home after an extended stay in Hawai’i, where the Eagles went 4-1 in five games. FGCU is led offensively by Alyza Winston, who is averaging 16.0 ppg. FGCU looks to win their 3rd game in a row, as they face the Gyrenes. The game will count as a regular season game for FGCU, but an exhibition game for Ave Maria.

Ave Maria is off to a hot start to their season, as they are 8-1 overall, 4-0 in Sun Conference play, and have won six games in a row. The only loss on the season for the Gyrenes is to Brewton-Parker, in the SSAC-SUN Challenge. Head Coach Alex Moorehead has led the team since 2021. The Gyrenes are led offensively by Gianna Santacroce, who is averaging 10.6 ppg.

FGCU will look to the Winston/Morehouse tandem at guard, to dominate the Gyrenes backcourt. ASUN Conference Preseason Player of the Year TK Morehouse, averages 14.1 ppg and will run the offense for the Eagles. The Gyrenes have 7 players on their team that are 6’0 or taller, and their tallest girl is 6’1. Looking forward to the Eagles returning home to Alico Arena, Saturday afternoon.
