
Honolulu, HI- FGCU (3-0) won their 3rd game in a row, defeating the University of Hawai’i (0-3), 65-45, Friday night in the first game of the Bank of Hawai’i Classic.
Stats (FGCU):
FGCU shot 38.6% (22/57) from the field, 35.3% (12/34) from beyond the arc, and were outrebounded by Hawai’i 48-27. The Eagles dished out 15 assists, had 10 steals, and 1 block in the game. FGCU forced 22 Rainbow Warriors team turnovers, while having 8 team turnovers of their own.

Overview:
The Eagles defeated Hawai’i courtesy of the 3 ball, hitting 12 3 point field goals, and shooting 35% from beyond the arc (12/34). Hawai’i won the rebounding battle, but the Eagles dominated the Rainbow Warriors in every other facet of Friday night’s game. TK Morehouse scored a game high 17 points to lead FGCU, and Kaela Webb also scored in double figures in the game, finishing with 12 points. Sophia Stiles just missed a double double, and contributed 9 points, to go with 9 rebounds.
Hawai’i was led offensively by Lily Wahinekapu, who scored 9 points. The Eagles never trailed in this game, and their largest lead was their 30 point lead at halftime (39-19). FGCU had 15 assists to go with 10 steals in the game, and did all of this without Alyza Winston (leading scorer) playing in the game.
