Overview:
The Eagles struggled mightily vs #22 Tennessee Wednesday night, and could not get their offense to flow at all. The Volunteers defense was ferocious, and the Eagles had no answer for Tennessee. Head Coach Rick Barnes had his team ready for the Eagles, and FGCU just could never shoot the ball during the game. Zach Anderson led the Eagles with 11 points, and continues his strong start to the season. #22 Tennessee was led offensively by Josiah-Jordan James, and Oliver Nkamhoua, who both scored 18 points. The Volunteers shot 40% from beyond the arc (8/20), and the Eagles only shot 20% (5/24), and that was one of the major factors in the game. #22 Tennessee dominated FGCU in every aspect of the game, so the Eagles should just take in the experience of playing an SEC team on the road in an hostile environment, reset, and get ready to come home, and play well in the Gulf Coast Showcase at Hertz Arena.
What’s Next:
