Overview:

FGCU lost a tough one Tuesday afternoon to Liberty University, and need to win the next two games vs Lipscomb, and Kennesaw State to make it to the next round of the ASUN Baseball Tournament.

The Eagles are led offensively by All-ASUN 1st Team member Alejandro Figueredo, who is batting .397 this season, with 13 HR, and 61 RBI’s. All-ASUN 2nd Team member Ian Farrow continues to rake for the Eagles explosive offense, with a team high 21 HR, and team high 73 RBI’s. The Eagles have driven in 442 runs this season offensively, and as long as FGCU pitching can hold up, they will be in good shape these next two games.  

#2 Lipscomb defeated #3 Kennesaw State 12-10, Tuesday, and were led offensively by Maddux Houghton, who had a home run and 3 RBI’s. Lipscomb was down 10-6, headed into the bottom of the 9th before scoring 6 runs to defeat the Owls. This season, Malik Williams led the Bisons offensively, hitting .369 with 11 HR, and 60 RBI’s. Catcher Rudy Maxwell also has had a strong year with 10 HR, and 54 RBI’s. It’s must win from Swanson for the Eagles, and it should be a great game with Lipscomb and FGCU meeting up for the first time this season.
