Overview:

FGCU gets one last chance to beat #5 Miami, after losing at home 11-7 on 3/30, and on the road 5-2 on 4/5. The Eagles are 0-3 vs top 25 teams, losing twice to Miami, and once to Florida State. Beating Miami, would give the Eagles their signature win, they have desired all year long.

#5 Miami is led offensively by CJ Kayfus, who is batting .374 this season, with 6 HR, and 47 RBI’s. Yohandy Morales leads the Hurricanes with 12 home runs this year. The Hurricanes have two hitters with 10+ home runs on their roster (Morales, 12, and Burke, 10). 6’3 SO RHP Carson Palmquist has the most win (8), on the team, and 6’4 SO RHP closer Andrew Walters leads the team with 13 saves, and has an ERA of 0.32 in 28.0 innings pitched.

FGCU continues to be led offensively by Alejandro Figueredo, who is batting .379 this season with 9 HR, and 52 RBI’s.
