Overview:

FGCU was swept by Liberty University on the road April 8-10 in Lynchburg, Virginia, and it was a super rough weekend for the Eagles, as the Flames outscored FGCU 27-8 in the 3 games played. The Flames are 4-2 in their last six ASUN Conference games, winning series vs JU at home, and on the road vs Stetson University.

FGCU is 3-3 in their last six ASUN Conference games, losing a series on the road to JU, while winning a series at home vs Kennesaw State University. Ian Farrow was recently named ASUN Player of the Week, after a hot weekend vs KSU, where he had 3 home runs, and 12 RBI’s. The Eagles have three batters with 10+ home runs in their lineup, and that list includes Joe Kinker (15 HR), Ian Farrow (14 HR), Harrison Povey (13 HR).

Liberty has some huge bats in the middle of their lineup, as Derek Orndorff (14 HR), and Brady Gulakowsi (11 HR), provide the pop for the Flames. Aaron Anderson leads the Flames with a .296 batting average. The Flames sit in first place in the ASUN Conference standings, so it’s a huge opportunity for FGCU to earn a series win, this weekend vs the Flames.
