Overview:
The Eagles faced Stetson University to begin ASUN Conference play in mid March, and completed the three game sweep of the Hatters. Stetson has struggled this season in conference play and have a 5-10 record through 15 games. The Hatters have 2 top 25 wins this season over #15 Liberty. Stetson is led offensively by Cameron Hill, who is batting .350 with 2 HR and 20 RBI’s. Head Coach Steve Trimper has led the Hatters for 6 seasons.
FGCU scored 46 runs in the previous three game series vs Stetson, and looks to build off of that stat, this series at home. Alejandro Figueredo boasts a .378 batting average to lead the Eagles in that category, and Joe Kinker leads the team in home runs with 13 round trippers. Freshman sensation Harrison Povey (11), and Sophomore Ian Farrow (10), both have 10+ home runs this season for the Eagles. FGCU has lost back to back ASUN Conference series, and will look to get back on track in ASUN play with a huge series win vs the Hatters.
