Overview:
The offense was alive and well for the Eagles, Tuesday night in Tampa vs USF. FGCU put up crooked numbers in the 4th (3), 5th (3), and 9th (4), en route to the big win. Harrison Povey drove in 2 runs, including a home run in the game. Luis Rodriguez had 2 RBI’s also in the game for the Eagles. USF had 3 hitters finish with an RBI in the game (Cantu, Mayo, Lane). Nolan O’Shaney started the game for FGCU, and pitched 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 run (ER), while walking 3, and striking out 2 Bulls. Joseph Sanchez started the game for USF, and his line was 1.1 IP, allowing 2 H, 1 R (ER), while walking 1 Eagle. Tuesday’s win was much needed and it was great to see the Eagles offense come back to life.
