Overview:

It was a tough weekend for the Eagles as they’ve now lost 4 games in a row after the road series vs Liberty University. The Eagles offense was held to only 8 runs overall by the Flames pitching staff, and you have to respect the Liberty pitching staff who were dominant all weekend vs the Eagles. Joe Kinker hit two home runs this weekend, and Harrison Povey also went deep for the Eagles. Derek Orndorff had a big weekend for Liberty, and did all offensively for the Flames, driving in 6 RBI’s, with 2 RBI’s each game. It’s a series you have to move on from, and after a non-conference road game with USF Tuesday night, you have to reset for a home series this weekend vs UNF.

What’s Next:

FGCU (20-12) heads on the road to face USF (19-13), Tuesday night at 6:00 PM from USF Baseball Stadium at Red McEwen Field.
