Overview:

FGCU looks to continue their winning ways as they face American Athletic Conference member USF, Tuesday night at home. Head Coach Billy Mohl has led the Bulls since 2017. USF is led offensively by Carmine Lane, who is batting .376 on the season with 5 HR and 26 RBI’s. The Bulls have played most of their games this season at home and are 1-1 on the road, and lost to fellow ASUN rival UNF 2-1 in their sole road loss this season. The Eagles have won their past six games vs USF, sweeping both series last season.

At this point in the season everyone knows the top of this lineup, but FGCU has been so deep offensively, that we are seeing Luis Rodriguez and FR Harrison Povey, continue to carry the offense, if the top of the lineup runs into any problems with pitching staffs. The Eagles now have a eight game homestand, including games against USF (1), Jacksonville (3), Kennesaw State (3), and Miami (1). They are off to their best start in years, and have a chance to have 20+ wins or more already this early into ASUN Conference play. It’s always a treat seeing FGCU and USF face off as the games are competitive and FGCU will try to make it 6 wins in a row.
