Overview:
FGCU heads into this mid week tilt after a successful weekend at home, taking two out of three games from the Fairfield University Stags. The Eagles offense continues to be one of the top in the country as FGCU has 153 RBI’s through 16 games played this season. The Eagle lineup is so strong offensively, and the Eagles hit leader, Brian Ellis (.414) has been the catalyst for the offense from the leadoff spot. Ian Farrow leads the team in home runs (5), and RBI’s (23), and seems to always be clutch with two outs. Jason Woodward leads the team with 3 wins, and consistently has the Eagles in the position to win the way this offense has been hitting the ball. Luis Rodriguez (.407), Alejandro Rodriguez (.382) and Alejandro Figueredo (.377) have made it difficult for every pitcher they face this season.
NDSU is led by Head Coach Tyler Oakes, who has led the team since 2021 as Head Coach, and has been with NDSU since 2013. Peter Brookshaw leads the team offensively, hitting .367, and has 2 home runs, while driving in 12 runs on the season. NDSU will be playing back to back games, as the Bison defeated FAU Tuesday afternoon 12-3 on the road.
