Overview:
The Eagles are on complete fire offensively, and the pitching has been solid, and FGCU has won their past six games, sweeping Bethune Cookman this wekeend.
In game one, Jason Woodward stepped up and delivered 6 innings allowing one run, while striking out 7 Wildcats. Brian Ellis delivered 6 RBI’s, and FGCU blew this game open courtesy of a 5 run 3rd inning. In game two of the series, Tyler Shuck pitched a gem, going 6 innings, and allowing only 2 hits while striking out 7 Wildcats. The offense was led by Harrison Povey, who hit 2 HR, and drove in 7 RBI’s. The freshman has been hitting the cover off the ball for the Eagles. Joe Kinker also went deep for FGCU in the game as the Eagles routed the Wildcats 16-2. In the final game of the series, Tyler Tipton earned the win in relief, pitching 3 innings, allowing one hit, one run, while striking out 2 Wildcats. Ian Farrow led the charge for the Eagles, driving in 2 RBI’s, as FGCU swept Bethune Cookman.
