Overview:

The Eagles handled their business Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville, and were led by TK Morehouse, who scored 14 points. UNF was led by Emma Broermann, who also scored 14 points in the game. FGCU asserted themselves from beyond the arc, and that was the story of this game. The Eagles sunk 13 3 point field goals, and also were able to limit Jazz Bond to 6 points in 32 minutes, and stopping her was the X factor to this game. Kendall Spray hit 4 3 points field goals in key moments, providing the Eagles with 12 points. Kaela Webb scored 11 points in 19 minutes off the bench, and it’s going to be player’s like her having big games, which will be key to more Eagles victories.

FGCU heads into the matchup next week with Liberty University without Kierstan Bell, but with a huge opportunity to earn the #1 seed with a win over the Flames. The ASUN Conference matchup of the week will be the Eagles vs Flames, and you better believe all the ASUN Conference women’s teams have a vested interest in this game.

What’s Next:

#22 FGCU (24-2, 13-1 ASUN) faces Liberty University (25-2, 13-1 ASUN) Thursday night at 7 PM from Liberty Arena.
