
Fort Myers, FL- FGCU (17-9, 7-5 ASUN) overcame a late 2nd half 11 point deficit to force overtime, and beat Stetson University (11-14, 5-7 ASUN), 89-82, Saturday afternoon from Alico Arena. The Eagles won their fourth game in a row.

Overview:
FGCU began this game up 21-7 vs Stetson University, but the Hatters came back, and made this game a lot closer than it should have been. The Hatters even had a 73-62 lead with 2:55 left in the game but blew the lead. Tavian Dunn-Martin willed this team to victory tonight, scoring a career high 38 points, and nearly had a triple double in the game. The 38 points set an FGCU program record in the process. Cyrus Largie (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Kevin Samuel (12 points, 12 rebounds) each finished with double doubles in the game, to help the Eagles win their 4th ASUN Conference game in a row. Chase Johnston led the Hatters with 24 points, and would not be denied. Both games this season vs Stetson ended in overtime, and anytime you pair the Eagles with the Hatters, it’s must see ASUN Conference basketball. The FGCU Alumni that made the trip to Alico Arena got to see an instant classic Saturday afternoon.
