Overview:

#20 FGCU faces a Stetson University team that is also on a long winning streak, as the Hatters have won their past six games in conference play. This isn’t the same team FGCU faced back on 1/19, when the Eagles dominated the Hatters from the Edmunds Center, 78-41.

Yazz Wazeerud-Din (11.8 ppg) is playing much better than how she looked when we last saw her play, and 6’0 GR F Tatiana Streun (11.8 ppg) has provided a huge boost to the Hatters this season. Head Coach Lynn Bria is in her 14th season leading the Hatters, and is one of the best coaches in the ASUN Conference. FGCU is led offensively by TK Morehouse, who averages 15.0 ppg and is the heart and soul of this Eagles team. While FGCU struggled at times during the game vs UNA, the Eagles were able to overcome and earn the victory. More games like the game vs the Lions are possible, so the depth will continue to he tested, and the Eagles will be up for the challenge. FGCU is looking to extend their winning streak to sixteen games, and we have a great prime time game Saturday night from Alico Arena.
