
Nashville, TN- FGCU (15-9, 5-5 ASUN) won their 2nd game in a row, beating Lipscomb University (10-15, 3-7 ASUN), 77-68, Saturday night from Allen Arena.
Stats:
FGCU shot 41.7% (25/60) from the field, 28.6% (8/28) from beyond the arc, and were outrebounded 43-42 by the Bisons. The Eagles dished out 13 assists, had 6 steals, and 6 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 16 LU team turnovers, while having 14 team turnovers of their own.

Overview:
After watching the first half of this game, it was easy to think the Eagles couldn’t contain Lipscomb, and especially Ahsan Asadullah. FGCU responded in the 2nd half of this game, courtesy of Zach Anderson (11 points) hitting three 3 points field goals early in the 2nd half. Tavian Dunn-Martin (22 points) led all scorers once again, and had a huge 2nd half offensively. FGCU outscored Lipscomb 46-23 in the 2nd half, and it just wasn’t even that close. The Bisons shooters were making everything in the first half of the game, and went into the half with a 45-31 advantage. Lipscomb was led by Ahsan Asadullah who finished with 18 points.
FGCU is now back to .500 (5-5) in ASUN play, and has home cooking vs UNA, Stetson, and KSU, which are big opportunities to continue to earn wins. The Eagles can’t let up after their performance Saturday night.
