#20 FGCU/UCA RECAP

Conway, AR- #20 FGCU (20-1, 9-0 ASUN) won their 13th game in a row, defeating Central Arkansas (8-12, 3-6 ASUN), 71-44, Thursday night from the Farris Center.

Stats:

#20 FGCU shot 39.3% (24/61) from the field, 32.7% (17/52) from beyond the arc, and were outrebounded 45-37 by the Sugar Bears. The Eagles dished out 19 assists, had 8 steals, and 6 blocks in the game. #20 FGCU forced 15 UCA team turnovers, while having only 6 team turnovers of their own.

Overview:

#20 FGCU dominated UCA and in the process won their 13th game in a row. The Eagles had 5 players finish in double figures including: TK Morehouse (19 pts), Kendall Spray (12 pts), Tyra Cox (11 pts), Kerstie Phills (10 pts), and Andrea Cecil (10 pts). UCA was led by Lucy Ibeh, who had a double double, finishing with 13 points, and 13 rebounds, while her teammate Hannah Langhi, just missed a double double, finishing with 12 points, and 9 rebounds in the game. UCA never led in this game, and FGCU’s largest lead in the game was 29 points. The Eagles only finished with 6 team turnovers in the game, and that’s the MO of Head Coach Karl Smesko. Congrats to Head Coach Karl Smesko on win #600, and we are onto to the next one!
