FGCU faces a UCA team that played a non-conference schedule, that included games on the road vs Butler, Baylor, Arkansas, and Texas A&M. The Sugar Bears have wins in ASUN play vs EKU, UNA, and Lipscomb. Head Coach Anthony Boone has led the team since the end of the 2019-20 season. The Sugar Bears are led offensively by 6’7 JR G/F Darious Hall who averages 13.6 ppg. UCA joins the ASUN Conference after playing in the Southland Conference.

The Eagles desperately need an ASUN road win, as they currently only have 1 on the season, and that came against Stetson University on 1/18. The Eagles will be led offensively by Tavian Dunn-Martin who averages 19.0 ppg. Kevin Samuel (11.4 ppg, 9.9 rpg) has dominated teams this season in the post, and he will look to do the same, and earn another double double vs UCA. The Eagles can’t afford to be 3-6, and looking up at Liberty, KSU, JU, and Stetson, so they will have to show some resiliency, and earn this victory.
