#23 FGCU/KSU RECAP

Kennesaw, GA- #23 FGCU (14-1, 3-0 ASUN) won their 7th game in a row, beating Kennesaw State University (4-9, 0-2 ASUN), 100-65, Wednesday night.

Stats:

FGCU shot 47.5% (38/80) from the field, 39.5% (17/43) from beyond the arc, and outrebounded KSU 37-31. The Eagles dished out 20 assists, had 10 steals, and 5 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 20 Owls team turnovers, while having only 5 team turnovers of their own.

Karli Seay 17 pts, 6 reb

Overview:

FGCU dominated a KSU team that only dressed 7 players, and shot almost 40% (39.5%) from beyond the arc, hitting 17 three point field goals in the game. Kierstan Bell could not be stopped, and finished with a game high 30 points in 24 minutes played, to lead the Eagles in scoring. Karli Seay (17 points), and Kendall Spray (10 points), also scored in double figures for the Eagles. The Owls were led by Amani Johnson, who just missed a double double, finishing with 14 points and 9 assists in the game. FGCU held a 49-35 lead at halftime in the game. 13 Eagles played minutes in tonight’s game vs KSU.

FGCU (14-1, 3-0 ASUN) faces Liberty University (15-1, 3-0 ASUN) Saturday afternoon at 4 PM from Alico Arena.
