Jacksonville, FL- FGCU (13-1, 2-0 ASUN) won their 6th game in a row, beating Jacksonville University (7-5, 0-1 ASUN) 83-64, Sunday afternoon from Historic Swisher Gymnasium.

Stats:

FGCU shot 50.8% (30/59) from the field, 31.6% (12/38) from beyond the arc, and outrebounded JU 29-27. The Eagles dished out 21 assists, had 8 steals, and 2 blocks in the game. The Eagles forced JU team turnovers, and had 17 team turnovers of their own.

Overview:

FGCU dominated JU, and were led offensively by Kerstie Phills, who scored 19 pts. Kerstie was joined by Kierstan Bell (17 pts), TK Morehouse (14 pts), and Karli Seay (10 pts) who all scored in double figures in points. JU was led by Deshari Graham, who scored 20 points. The Eagles at one point had a 34 point lead in the game, and were able to have 13 players play minutes in this afternoon’s game. The Eagles led 43-29 at halftime in this game.

FGCU (13-1, 2-0 ASUN) heads on the road to face Kennesaw State University (4-8, 0-0 ASUN) Wednesday night (1/12) at 7 PM.
