
Jacksonville, FL- FGCU (11-5, 1-1 ASUN) dropped a heart breaker, 69-66, on the road to Jacksonville University (9-4, 1-0 ASUN), Saturday night.
Stats:
FGCU shot 42.6% (23/54) from the field, 31.0% (9/29) from beyond the arc, and were outrebounded 41-34 by JU. The Eagles dished out 14 assists, had 8 steals, and 4 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 10 Dolphins team turnovers, while having 10 team turnovers of their own.

Overview:
Kevion Nolan could not be stopped by FGCU, and Nolan scored 25 pts while shooting 7/16 from beyond the arc. He hit the game winning 3 point field goal at the buzzer from the U of JU, near mid court. FGCU was paced by Tavian Dunn-Martin, who finished with 24 pts, and carried the Eagles. These are the type of games Coach Fly and FGCU have to have, and it was another disappointing road loss for this team Saturday night.
Kevin Samuel finished with another double double (12 pts, 11 reb) and had a really strong game in the post for FGCU. Mike Marsh also had a double double for JU (10 pts, 12 reb), and the Eagles had trouble with him in the paint. FGCU has to put this one behind them as their road trip continues next week.
