Overview:

FGCU heads into this game after a stellar non-conference campaign that included beating LSU on the road, and Temple at home. The Tigers are now ranked #19 in the country and are 14-1 overall. This win was a signature win, and will be huge when the Eagles get closer to NCAA Tournament time. UNF heads into ASUN Conference play after a competitive non-conference schedule that included games vs #16/#24 Florida State, #21/#17 Georgia, and Auburn. The Ospreys have NCAA D-1 wins over FAU, Charleston, Bethune Cookman, and FAMU.

UNF is led in scoring by 6’4 R-SR F Jazz Bond, who is one of the best players in the ASUN Conference. She has continued to lead the Ospreys offensively, and this season gets to play with her sister Jaida Bond (5.9 ppg), who transfered to UNF from UNA. The usual household names of Rhetta Moore (15.5 ppg), and Tiffany Tolbert (7.1 ppg) make these games vs UNF the toughest games the Eagles will play this season in ASUN Conference play. Jazz vs Kierstan is going to be a key matchup, and the Eagles need to focus on keeping Kierstan out of foul trouble in the game, since the Ospreys boast Jazz (6’4), and Emma Broermann (6’3) in the frontcourt.

Prediction:

FGCU 81 UNF 72
