Moon Township, PA- FGCU (9-3) extended their winning streak to 3 games after defeating Robert Morris University (1-8), 85-74, Saturday night from the UPMC Events Center.

Stats:

FGCU shot 48.4% (31/64) from the field, 40.0% (14/35) from beyond the arc, and outrebounded the Colonials 40-26. The Eagles dished out 23 assists, had 8 steals, and 4 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 13 RMU team turnovers while having 13 team turnovers of their own.

Kevin Samuel 18 pts, 12 reb

Overview:

FGCU won this game with their shooting from beyond the arc. The Eagles offense went through Tavian Dunn-Martin (31 pts, 12 asts) and Kevin Samuel (18 pts, 12 reb). Caleb Catto hit some huge 3’s in the game, in some big spots, also for the Eagles offense, and he finished with 14 pts. At any point in this game where RMU was making a run to cut the lead down to single digits, the Eagles had an answer. Khaliel Spear led RMU with 20 pts, 11 reb, and was a force for the Colonials. FGCU continues to win the games they need to, as they close out non-conference play.
