Fort Myers, FL- FGCU (9-1) dominated Ave Maria University 99-37, Saturday night from Alico Arena.


FGCU shot 43.9% (36/82) from the field, 34.8% (23/66) from beyond the arc, and outrebounded Ave Maria University 44-38. The Eagles dished out 28 assists, had 15 steals, and 3 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 30 Gyrenes team turnovers, while having 9 team turnovers of their own.

FGCU scored a program high 23 3 pointers en route to a huge win Saturday night. 14 Eagles played minutes in the game vs Ave Maria and 13 of the 14 players scored. FGCU was led by Kierstan Bell who had 13 points in 15 minutes played. Seneca Hackley (12 pts), and Aaliyah Stanley (10 pts), also scored in double figures for FGCU. The Eagles forced 30 Gyrenes team turnovers in the game, and when you combine that with the 23 3 pointers made, it’s a receipe for success.

FGCU heads to the West Palm Beach Invitational to face Michigan State University (12/20) and High Point University (12/21).
