Overview:
FGCU heads into this game with a huge opportunity to extend their winning streak against another struggling team in Robert Morris. The Colonials have no NCAA D-1 wins this season. The Eagles are led by Tavian Dunn-Martin who is averaging 18.3 ppg and carrying this Eagles offense.
Robert Morris University is led in scoring by Khaliel Spear, who averages 12.9 ppg. The Colonials are coached by Head Coach Andrew Gallagher, who is in his 12th season as Pat Gallagher Head Coach of Robert Morris University. The Colonials have struggled this season with losses to UCF, #10 Kentucky, Ohio, Mount St Mary’s, Davidson, Green Bay, and Milwaukee. Their lone win came against Lancaster Bible 99-51, Wednesday night at home.
Per the norm, our big man matchup, which pits Kevin Samuel vs Khaliel Spear, and/or Justin Winston is gonna be the matchup to watch for. Kevin has been dominating in the post, and as in most games this season, will be a major problem for Robert Morris Saturday night. FGCU should be favored but needs to take advantage of this weaker non-conference schedule as they head into ASUN Conference play in January.
Prediction:
FGCU 77 RMU 62
