Overview:
FGCU almost gave this game away in the final seconds with a 5 seconds call trying to inbound the ball. Dartmouth tied the game up off the turnover, courtesy of a Brendan Berry 3 ball, and the Big Green forced overtime. FGCU dominated overtime, outscoring Dartmouth 17-7. FGCU was led by Kevin Samuel, who dominated an undersized Big Green team in the post, scoring 19 points, and 12 rebounds in the game. Cyrus Largie once again led the FGCU guards offensively with 17 pts in the game. Dartmouth was led by Brendan Berry, who had a game high 26 points, and was the best player in Alico Arena Saturday night. FGCU needs to be able to closeout teams in the final seconds and we have seen them have trouble doing that in the past. ASUN Conference play will be here soon, and FGCU can’t make mistakes like the critical error they made Saturday night.
