Overview:
FGCU looks to get back on track vs Ivy League foe Dartmouth University. The Eagles face a Big Green team who has wins over Georgetown University, Bryant, and NVU-Lyndon. The Big Green are led by Head Coach David McLaughlin, who is in his 6th season as Head Coach. Dartmouth’s leading scorer is Brendan Berry who averages 13.4 ppg. The Eagles look to avenge a loss from the 2019-20 season where they lost 55-49 to Dartmouth on the road.
This game is a get right game for FGCU after a disappointing game Wednesday night on the road vs FIU. Look for the Eagles to get Tavian Dunn-Martin back on track, and we hope we can get a 20+ pt game with multiple assists for the guard. 6’11 Kevin Samuel has a great matchup down low with 6’6 Aaryn Rai. It’s a mismatch the Eagles need to take advantage of. No Big Green player should be able to handle Kevin in the post. There will be plenty of great guards on the court including Cyrus Largie, Tavian Dunn-Martin, Brendan Berry. and Taurus Samuels. Cyrus is playing some of his best basketball these last few games for FGCU. FGCU needs to take advantage of this home matchup and get the win vs Dartmouth Saturday night.
Prediction:
FGCU 83 DU 71
