Overview:

Fresh off winning ASUN Conference Player of the Week, Tavian Dunn-Martin, looks to continue his hot stretch as of late carrying this Eagles team offensively. FGCU continues to get Kevin Samuel going offensively and he continues to be a problem for teams in the post. Cyrus Largie continues his stellar Junior season averaging 12.8 ppg, and the combination of Largie and Dunn-Martin will give the rest of the ASUN Conference fits comes conference play.

FIU comes into this game winners of their last six games, only losing their road opener to the University of Georgia, 58-51. Their NCAA D-1 wins include UNF, UNC Greensboro, Green Bay, Ball State, and North Dakota. Offensively, the Golden Panthers are led by Tevin Brewer who averages 14.9 ppg. Head Coach Jeremy Ballard is in his 4th season leading FIU. The Eagles lost to FIU 85-69 last season at Alico Arena. In that game Caleb Catto led the Eagles with 22 pts, but FGCU was unable to overcome a 48-31 halftime deficit. This is a huge game for both teams, as FGCU looks to continue their great stretch of play as of late.
