
Kissimmee, FL- FGCU (4-0) defeated Manhattan College (2-1) 88-57, in the first game of the ASUN/MAAC Challenge Friday from the HP Fieldhouse.
Stats:
FGCU shot 49.2% (32/65) from the field, 45.0% (18/40) from beyond the arc, and were outrebounded 41-32 by the Jaspers. The Eagles dished out 15 assists, had 9 steals, and 4 blocks in the game. FGCU forced 13 Manhattan team turnovers, and had 8 team turnovers of their own.

Overview:
The Eagles shot lights out in the 1st Quarter of the game, shooting (7/10) 70% from beyond the arc. FGCU overcame a cold shooting 3rd Quarter (11 points), but still were able to route the Jaspers Friday in the first game of the ASUN/MAAC Challenge.
Kierstan Bell paced the Eagles, finishing with 31 pts, and 9 rebounds in the game, just missing a double double. Kendall Spray had a strong first half finishing with 19 pts, shooting 6/8 from beyond the arc. Manhattan was led by Brazil Harvey-Carr, who finished with 12 pts. Courtney Warley seemed to be everywhere for the Jaspers, and she finished with 11 points and a game high 14 rebounds.
