ASUN/MAAC CHALLENGE: MANHATTAN/FGCU PREVIEW

Kissimmee, FL- FGCU (3-0) faces Manhattan College (2-0) in the first game of the ASUN/MAAC Challenge, which will take place at the HP Field house at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at 11 AM Friday.

Stats:

The Jaspers average 74.5 ppg, shoot 47.4% (63/133) from the field, and 31.3% (10/32) from beyond the arc. They average 46.5 team rebounds per game, dish out 17.5 assists, 10.5 steals, and 4.0 blocks per game. The Jaspers average 20.0 team turnovers per game.

Overview:

FGCU heads into the ASUN/MAAC Challenge running on all cylinders, after a decisive win over LSU. Sunday afternoon. Kierstan Bell, Kendall Spray, and TK Morehouse represent one of the best trios in the ASUN Conference, and we are excited to see how the Eagles play against Manhattan College, and Fairfield University.

Manhattan College is led by Dee Dee Davis, who averages 21.0 ppg, and they also have a 6’3 center in Courtney Warley, that averages almost a double double per game (9.0 ppg, 13.0 rpg). The Jaspers come into this game with victories over St Francis Brooklyn (74-66), and Army (75-55). Head Coach Heather Vulin, is in her sixth season with the Jaspers. After facing FGCU, Manhattan will face Stetson University, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM.
