Overview:

Head Coach Karl Smesko heads into this season with a team so loaded you could say the ASUN Conference title is theirs to lose! In all reality, this team is full of upperclassmen, starting at the top with JR G Kierstan Bell and SR G TK Morehouse. The two combined to average 42.0 ppg last season and were the heart and soul of this team. JR G Aaliyah Stanley, SR G Tyra Cox, and R-SR G Emma List were also counted on for the Eagles, and as we always say who do you try to contain on this team?

FGCU added 5’7 JR G Kendall Spray (10.3 ppg, Clemson, ’20-21), 5’6 JR G Kaela Webb (17.7 ppg, Detroit Mercy, ’20-21), 5’7 GR G Karli Seay (4.9 ppg, LSU, ’20-21), and 5’8 SR G Milan Schimmel (5.7 ppg, Cincinnati, ’20-21) to the rotation. 5’9 GR G Kerstie Phills (6.4 ppg, ’19-20) who opted out of last season due to COVID-19, also rejoined the team which gives the Eagles even more depth and knowledge of Coach Smesko’s system.

Prediction:

FGCU 87 FMU 45
