Overview:
Inclement weather was a theme during the Eagles series vs FSU, and after FGCU had a 6 run inning it looked like the Eagles were in cruise control vs #17 FSU. Though, in the bottom of the 7th, FSU scored 4 runs of their own to tie the game at 7. With 2 outs in the top of the 9th it looked like the Noles would have an opportunity to walk off vs FGCU, but Jacob Lojewski had other thoughts as he hit a clutch 2 out solo home run giving the Eagles an 8-7 lead. Jason Woodward finished the job in the bottom of the inning and the Eagles picked up a huge top 20 win over the 17th ranked Noles.
In game two, the Eagles and Noles were in a pitchers duel, as both teams pitching staffs matched each other with the exception of a Martin RBI single in the bottom of the 3rd, and a Brian Ellis solo home run in the top of the 5th. FSU would later walk off in the bottom of the 9th, as Elijah Cabell would hit the game winning home run, but the Eagles played 2 strong games as they head into the ASUN Tournament games which start next weekend.
